EPIC Summer 2024
EPIC Summer is a 7-week study abroad opportunity designed for emerging leaders who want to experience holistic ministry life in a cross-cultural setting while also earning College credit.
Participants will earn 8 hours of college credit while studying Arabic, learning about the land, its peoples, religions, conflicts, and history. Develop and strengthen ministry, team, and cross-cultural skills in the unparalleled context of the Holy Land and Jordan, including mentoring from veteran disciple-makers in the region.

Every believer should visit the Holy Land at least once in a lifetime. Experience the sweet scent of the Sea of Galilee at dawn, the joy of baptisms at the Jordan River, and the delight of worshipping at the empty Garden Tomb. The words of Scripture will come more alive as you walk the land, trace Jesus’ footsteps, engage in the culture, and explore the geography.

When Jesus walked through the land, He was always teaching His disciples how to live in and announce God’s Kingdom. In the same way, we want Jesus’ words to train us on location. What did He want the disciples to learn on the other side of the Sea of Galilee? Why did He sit at Jacob’s Well in Samaria in John 4? Why did He weep over Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives? We will stand in those same places and let Jesus’ words train and teach us new ways of understanding what He said and did during His ministry and how those things can inform our own ministries and witness.

This experience is designed to provide continual opportunities to have natural encounters with Christians, Jews, and Muslims in the land. We will share intimate meals with new friends, learn about Shabbat from Messianic Jews, meet Palestinian Christians and hear their stories of living as a tiny minority in the Holy Land, strike up conversations with shop owners in Jerusalem’s Old city, listen to Palestinian refugees living in the shadow of the security wall, and talk about the Messiah at dusk in Manger Square, just a few hundred yards from Jesus’ birthplace.
Registration Process
Step 1 - Application
Applications for EPIC Summer opens September 1,2023 and will close on December 1, 2023. All applicants can register at the link below.
Step 2 - Interview
Once application is submitted, you will be contacted to schedule a Zoom Interview with members of the EPIC Leadership Team. After the interview is completed, applicant will be advised of acceptance or denial into the program within 72 hours.
Step 3 - Program Acceptance
Program acceptance requires a non-refundable deposit of $250 and execution of the Applicant Agreement, Financial Agreement, and acknowledgement of the Grace Family of Churches’ Statement of Faith.
